The Coordinadora25S plans to organise a Conference on the Spanish Constitutional Process on the 6,7,8 and 9th of December in order to create a space for debate on this system that violates our social, human, and political rights.
It is perceived by ever growing sections of Spanish society that the legal framework of the past 34 years, since the adoption of the 1978 Constitution, is no longer appropriate. We must adapt and establish a real democracy where political institutions submit to the will of the people instead of international financial powers.
The conference aims to achieve a basic consensus between the participants and promoters of this Constitutional Process. The agreement will be implemented in two documents resulting in a joint political declaration and a roadmap to initiate the new Constitutional Process.
The conference is open to all. Social/Political groups who have mobilised against the current austerity measures including housing evictions, the destruction of the natural environment, restrictions on education and public health and all the abuses to which we are subjected to.
We appeal to all organisations and citizens to actively participate in this project.
